The major update to One UI 7 for Samsung smartphones will lead to dramatic changes in the interface design. The portal reports this CNET referring to Sally Hyesun Chung, the company’s vice president.

According to the source, the beta version of Samsung’s proprietary shell will be available this year, and the official version will be available along with the launch of the flagship Galaxy S25 series. The update will bring a new interface design, improved animation, and a new element blurring system.

Additionally, the home screen grid will be redesigned for better organization and usability in line with the latest trends from Apple and Google.

One UI is Samsung’s proprietary shell for smartphones and tablets running the Android operating system. The current firmware generation has received a distinctive feature in the form of the Galaxy AI system, which debuted in One UI 6 with the Galaxy S24 and received advanced features in One UI 6.1 with the launch of the foldable Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. Samsung’s artificial intelligence supports the Russian language, unlike the one used by Apple.
