The number of complaints from users reached almost 30 thousand within an hour after the malfunction in Telegram messenger. Data about it appeared on the service down detector.
According to users, many messages were not sent, media files were not loaded, and often the application did not open at all. For some users, Telegram continued to work, but there was a delay in sending and receiving messages.
It was not disclosed what caused the failure. Moscow, St. Users from St. Petersburg, Tver, Tomsk, Sverdlovsk and other regions of the Russian Federation mostly complain about problems accessing Telegram. Less rare reports of failures are also observed among users in other countries, including the United States.
The Downdetector service has already recorded more than 1.6 thousand complaints and their number continues to grow. The first mass messages began to arrive around 13:50 Moscow time. This is the messenger’s second major failure in a week; The issue was previously noted on October 1.
