Famous Russian designer Artemy Lebedev shared his views on Yaroslav Dronov, better known as Shaman, and the rally-concert held at the American Embassy in Moscow. The designer spoke about this in an interview with Yuri Dudu (known in the Russian Federation as a foreign media agent) on YouTube.
“The usual shameful story,” Lebedev described the musician’s rally-concert at the US Embassy, which he organized in response to the deletion of Shaman’s YouTube channel and the blocking of other domestic artists from hosting videos. According to the designer, meeting with a message at any embassy “is not his way of spending time.”
The designer also described Dronov himself with the word “handsome”, explaining that Shaman is an artist whose task is to gather the public, attract attention, get acclaim, give concerts.
“This was not the first time that Shaman tried to find some kind of approach to the people, and then he had luck with the song “I am Russian”. Not the most complicated song, not the most complicated words, but people needed even such a simple thing,” Lebedev said.
The designer also admitted that, despite his positive attitude towards Dronov, he is not a fan of his work.
Yaroslav Dronov held a rally and concert at the American Embassy in Moscow on July 19 in response to the blocking of Russian celebrities’ YouTube accounts. A stage and screen were set up opposite the embassy, and police were on duty. In the evening, people wearing clothes bearing the singer’s symbols, Russian flags and St. George ribbons gathered near the building.
Russians before reported About the big outage on YouTube.
