Arrowhead Game Studios has announced a major update for Helldivers 2 called Escalation of Freedom, which will be the biggest update since the game’s launch. Portal reports DTF.
Major changes include the introduction of BR 10: Mega Hell, a new difficulty level that will offer players maximum gameplay intensity and tougher challenges with corresponding rewards. New missions and safer enemy outposts will also be added that will require players to be more coordinated and strategic.
The game will feature giant Impalers from the first Hell Divers, Spore Brutes, a Terminid Alpha Commander, and a large Automaton Missile Tank. There will also be a swamp biome with limited visibility and enemies hiding in fog. Players will need to use a flashlight as light is important in these areas. It has been announced that new missions will also appear during the missions.
The Escalation of Freedom update for Helldivers 2 will be available on PC and PlayStation 5 on August 6.
