Apple VP of Software Craig Federighi at WWDC presented The new operating system for the company’s tablets is iPadOS 18.

Key features of iPadOS 18 include the ability to freely arrange icons on the screen and fully customize the Control Center. Apple also made significant improvements to the Pages, Keynote, Numbers, and Playgrounds apps, as well as the Magazine and Freeform apps.

Finally, a standard calculator is available on the iPad that can perform any arithmetic calculation handwritten in the Notes app. The lack of the Calculator app on iPadOS has long been a problem among Apple tablet users.

The iPadOS 18 changes also affect the Photos app, which Federighi said has been completely redesigned.

A tab bar is integrated for quick access. Share Play now supports the ability to draw on the screen while viewing and listening to content together.
