Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has discovered a cartel conspiracy among sellers of wireless headphones. Post this seen On the official Telegram channel of the Ministry.

Sellers coordinated their actions through a common chat on messaging to maintain high prices and fight competition.

From 2023 to 2024, cartel participants synchronized price increases, monitored compliance with agreements, and discussed measures to be taken against those who did not support the conspiracy. They bought goods from honest entrepreneurs who refused to participate in the conspiracy and sent them to remote areas or other countries where they remained abandoned.

Additionally, cartel members artificially lowered competitors’ ratings on major trading platforms by posting negative reviews.

FAS Russia initiated proceedings against participants in the conspiracy. If convicted, violators face negotiable fines. The maximum turnover penalty can be 15% of annual income.
