Anbernic announced the RG Cube, a small portable console with a square screen in 1:1 format. In this respect reports Retro Dodo portal.
The new product is equipped with a mid-budget 8-core Unisoc Tiger T820 chipset, 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and a 128 GB UFS 2.2 drive with microSD memory card support. Despite the fairly basic hardware, the device is capable of emulating games from Nintendo Dreamcast, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 64, GameCube, PlayStation 2, and dozens of platforms that require less hardware.
You can also play mobile games on RG Cube since the device runs Android 13.
The console received a 3.95-inch square IPS display with a resolution of 720×720 pixels. According to the manufacturer, the built-in 5200 mAh battery can provide up to 7 hours of continuous gaming. Other features include backlighting around the sticks, as well as support for Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac wireless technologies.
The price of Anbernic’s RG Cube has not been announced yet. It is expected to cost about 100 dollars (about 8.9 thousand rubles).
