Only 25% of Russians surveyed consider April 1 a holiday. 75% of those living in the country answered the question negatively. At the same time, women are more likely than men to view April Fool’s Day as an ordinary day (23% vs. 28%). socialbites.ca learned about this from the results of a survey conducted by Hi-Tech Mail.ru.

Approximately one in every two participants (49%) do not plan to prank anyone on this day. Another 35% are not yet sure about their April Fools’ Day plans. But 17% of Russians confidently said they planned to play a prank on colleagues and relatives. Men are more likely to laugh at their friends and colleagues on this day: 12% of women and one in five men (21%) among those who want to arrange a joke or joke.

Almost half of Russians have a neutral attitude towards such jokes: “white back” does not bother 47% of respondents. In fact, more than a third (35%) of respondents rate the jokes positively. Only 17% of respondents have a negative attitude towards jokes, regardless of gender. In 2023, this figure was 19 percent. At the same time, more than half of the survey respondents (52%) participated in the raffle. Men are more likely than women to do this: 53% versus 49%.

The survey was conducted from March 22 to March 25, 2024 on the pages of the Hi-Tech Mail.ru resource. Approximately 9 thousand people attended.
