Market.CNews analysts analyzed the Russian operating systems market and determined the best among them.
Experts evaluated domestic operating systems according to a number of key indicators, including the degree of distribution, functionality, level of security, adaptability to various types of devices and user requirements, as well as system requirements. During the evaluation process, systems were given points for meeting these criteria.
Thus, the Astra Linux operating system, built on Linux Debian, took first place due to its wide market coverage and low system requirements. According to research, the operating system is compatible with 2,000 Russian devices. The second place was taken by “RED OS” of the “RED SOFT” company, supported by a thousand devices. The top three are occupied by OS Alt from NPO Basalt, compatible with 200 devices.
Also at the top were ROSA, OSNOVA, AlterOS, Atlant and Strelets, which took fourth to eighth place. The latter is compatible with ten home devices.
It was noted that all Russian operating systems presented in the rating can be used in the corporate sector, government institutions and educational institutions, only five of them are suitable for personal use.
