Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (listed as terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation), said that the Telegram messenger is a problem for national security. This was reported by TASS.
According to him, Telegram has a hugely destructive impact within the country. He emphasized that the Ukrainian side could influence the external audience with the help of the ambassador.
Budanov emphasized that he is absolutely against the suppression of freedom of expression, but in this case, everyone can create their own channel on Telegram and start writing whatever they want in it.
Before that it was known in nine regions of Ukraine they will block Television and radio signals using technical means from Russia and Belarus.
For these purposes, the Ukrainian government will allocate 152 million hryvnia (more than 360 million rubles) from the state budget reserve fund to establish a system for blocking Russian and Belarusian television broadcasts.
