Autodesk bans Russian customers from using its software

American company Autodesk, the world’s largest software supplier, has banned companies in Russia from using its products since March 20. This is evidenced by a letter the company sent to its Russian customers, the Economy newspaper reported. RBC.

“We shouldn’t allow any of your Russians. <…> companies <…> Use our products and services.”

In addition, this prohibition also applies to Russian legal entities, authorized subsidiaries of the Russian Federation and third parties established in the country.

The reason for this decision was the implementation of the 12th anti-Russian sanctions package of the European Union, which prohibits the sale, supply, transfer, export or provision of services, including computer software for industrial design.

According to the publication, the authenticity of the letter was verified by three customers of the company.
