The ban on the use of Microsoft cloud services from Russia, which will come into force on the night of March 20-21, 2024, will only affect legal entities. Individuals, that is, ordinary users, will not lose access to the products of the American IT company. With reference to a source in the market on this subject reports RTVI broadcast.
RTVI noted that Microsoft has not yet decided on the exact list of services that will be disabled for Russian corporate customers. However, the source of the publication does not exclude the possibility that all products of the company will be blocked.
It is definitely known that a suite of products is available in Russia, as well as the Microsoft Teams video conferencing system, Microsoft OneDrive cloud storage, Microsoft Azure cloud platform, Microsoft Office 365 suite of office utilities, Microsoft SQL Server database management system. “The shutdown will also affect free versions of Power BI Pro, Azure Devops and education products; MS Visio and Office keys will be blocked,” RTVI added.
