According to ComNews Research data cited by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, mobile operator Beeline provides its subscribers with the highest level of protection against spam and fraud among the four major players.
When analyzing the work of anti-fraud platforms of the four largest operators in Russia, ComNews Research experts paid special attention to three criteria: the effectiveness of tools against number spoofing, protection against unwanted calls and the prevalence of numbers in online virtual number exchanges.
During the stress test to block all unwanted calls conducted by analysts, the Beeline operator showed the most effective work. It blocked all calls, including some regular calls.
According to ComNews Research, Beeline initially intended to develop its own anti-fraud platform; It blocks calls from scammers using fake numbers and prevents them from reaching the subscriber.
Analysts noted that Beeline is ensuring the integration of its anti-fraud platform with the largest Russian telecom operators in 2022, offering the opportunity to use AFP to IT companies and banks, as well as other operators.
Analysts also concluded that Beeline subscribers are most protected from the distribution of “gray” SIM cards on online exchanges.
The study found that Beeline had the least number of numbers distributed in online virtual number exchanges; This demonstrates the high effectiveness of the company’s measures to combat spam and fraud.
Commenting on the results of the study, the administrator of one of the online exchanges noted: Beeline numbers are practically useless for spam mails due to the fact that they are quickly blocked by the operator.
