Since Huawei registered this trademark in 2021, Apple will most likely not be able to sell its Vision Pro headset under this name in China. In this respect reports South China Morning Post (SCMP).
Huawei’s Vision Pro trademark covers a wide range of products and services, including virtual reality headsets and wearable video displays, and gives the company exclusive rights to use the Vision Pro name in China until November 2031.
According to the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Apple’s application for the Vision Pro trademark is currently under re-examination. Additionally, Apple filed a trademark for Apple Vision Pro in June 2023, and this application is still pending.
Huawei’s first smart glasses, Vision Glass, were introduced in 2022. According to rumors, the Chinese technology giant plans to introduce a similar device of its own after the launch of Apple Vision Pro.
