German company Volla announced the Android-based Volla Tablet with Dual Boot functionality and Ubuntu Touch installation. In this respect reports Liliputing portal.
Volla Tablet received a 12.3-inch screen with QHD resolution, 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. MediaTek Helio G99 chip is responsible for the performance of the device. It has an aluminum body, four speakers, pen and keyboard support.
The tablet has a dual camera of 13 and 5 megapixels, as well as a front sensor with a resolution of 5 megapixels. It is also claimed to have a 10,000 mAh battery, 4G support and two SIM cards.
The main difference between the Volla Tablet is the presence of pre-installed Volla OS firmware based on Android. This system lacks Google services and comes with a proprietary minimalist Springboard shell. The tablet also offers support for various operating systems with Dual Boot functionality – the user can install the official version of Ubuntu Touch alongside Android.
The cost and detailed features of the Volla Tablet have not been announced yet. Information about this will appear closer to April, when the tablet goes on sale.
