Bloomberg journalists Mark Gurman and Drake Bennett published A huge amount of material where they talk about the problems of developing Apple Car and what the prototype of the car looked like.

The Apple prototype looked like a white minivan with curved sides, a glass panoramic roof, sliding doors and white tires. Suitable for a comfortable ride for four people, the minivan was inspired by the classic Volkswagen minibus.

The car was planned to hit the market before 2030. It had to have a huge television, speakers and auto-tinted windows. The cabin had to have seats with comfortable footrests, like in private jets.

Initially, Apple wanted to buy Tesla in order to use the ready base of famous electric cars. But then plans changed and the company began negotiating partnerships or mergers with Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Ford and other automakers. As a result, Apple backed out of the deals. Partly because I am confident in the possibility of achieving the goal on my own.

The company later decided to cancel the project due to “indecision”. There were many problems in creating a drone of the required quality. Apple was also embarrassed by the turmoil in the automotive market in recent years.

Previously Elon Musk promise Allow Tesla cars to be unlocked using Apple Watch.
