Xiaomi released an update for its smartphones that caused serious disruptions to devices worldwide. In this respect reports Telegram channel Wylsacom Red.

Apparently there is an updated quick access screen in the latest update of MIUI 14 and HyperOS, which is why the crash occurs. So after installing the update, smartphones stop booting and go into constant reboot mode. At the same time, the update is valid even for models that are not planned for updating.

The only way to restore your smartphone’s functionality is to perform a full reset in the Recovery Menu. However, in this case, all user data, including applications and photos, will be deleted. There is no way to save them if the smartphone has already been updated.

Xiaomi has not yet commented on the situation or offered a solution. Therefore, Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphone owners are advised to disable automatic updates to avoid damaging the device.

According to users, the update has already been withdrawn.
