OnePlus Watch 2 smart watch will run on Wear OS operating system. In this respect reports 9to5Google portal with a link to Oppo’s post on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
Oppo published a poster on its page showing the Watch X and mentioning Wear OS. The design of this smartwatch is the same as the OnePlus Watch 2. In addition, sub-brands of BBK, which owns two Chinese manufacturers, have repeatedly launched the same device under different brands for different markets. For example, something similar happened with Oppo Find N3 and OnePlus Open; While the first one was offered for sale in Russia, China and some other countries, the foldable smartphone under the OnePlus brand was sold in the USA, Europe and India.
Comparing the overall design and the execution of releasing the same devices under the Oppo and OnePlus brands, 9to5Google journalists noted that the Oppo Watch X and OnePlus Watch 2 run Wear OS. This means that the smartwatch will have a full-fledged Google Play app store with the ability to install various types of applications, including Android.
OnePlus Watch 2 will be introduced on February 26, and Oppo Watch X will be introduced on February 29. It has not been announced yet whether it will go on sale in Russia.
