Huawei presented a foldable smartphone in clamshell format – Pocket 2. reports GSMArena portal.
The new product is equipped with a flexible OLED display with a diagonal of 6.94 inches with a resolution of 2690×1136 pixels, an adaptive image refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 2200 nits. According to Huawei, the Xuanwu teardrop hinge made it possible to practically eliminate the gap between the two halves of the screen in the Pocket 2. The smartphone also has an additional screen outside the body – a 1.15-inch round OLED display with an adaptive frequency of up to 60 Hz.
The device is equipped with three cameras: a 50-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The front camera is represented by a 10.7 megapixel sensor.
It is not specified which chip is installed in Huawei Pocket 2. According to GSMArena, the proprietary Kirin 9000S processor, which is also found in the flagship Huawei Mate 60 series, is responsible for the performance of the smartphone. Users will have access to various modifications with 12 or 16 GB of RAM, as well as 256 GB of RAM. 512 GB or 1 TB permanent memory with the possibility of expansion using NM Card.
The 4520mAh battery supports fast wired charging at 66W and wireless charging at 40W. The presence of reverse wireless charging with a power of 7.5 W, with which you can charge another device, is also stated. Other features include the ability to be submerged in water up to two meters deep and water protection according to the IPX8 standard. directional satellite communications and custom firmware HarmonyOS 4.
Huawei Pocket 2 will go on sale in China at prices starting from 7.5 thousand yuan (about 96 thousand rubles). It has not yet been announced whether the new product will appear in Russia.
