MacRumors journalists analyzed all the rumors about the 2024 version of the iPad mini and made A list of the most likely functions of the new tablet.
Apple will continue to use IPS screens in the seventh generation iPad mini. However, to reduce the “jelly scroll” effect that some users of the current model complain about when using it in portrait orientation, the company will rotate the sensor by changing its top and bottom parts.
Journalists expect the seventh generation iPad mini to be equipped with a new chip. Most likely it will be A16 Bionic. However, it is also possible that Apple wants to switch the model to one of the M series processors currently used in Air and Pro tablets.
Some insiders claim that the iPad mini will have updated front and rear cameras in 2024. The current iPad mini uses the same cameras as all current iPad models: a 12-megapixel, 1.8-aperture rear camera and a 12-megapixel, 1.8-aperture ultra-wide-angle front camera.
Mini tablets are likely to have an expanded color range. Colors such as “Space Grey”, “Starlight”, “Pink” and “Purple” are expected to appear.
Unlike the Air and Pro models, Apple will update its mini line with the latest one, most likely at the end of 2024.
