The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 foldable smartphone has passed a series of stringent tests conducted by UL Solutions and received military-grade MIL-STD 810G certification. This proves that the device has passed laboratory tests for resistance to various external factors, including vibration, moisture, shock and temperature fluctuations. reports South Korean publication The Elec.
During testing, the 7-inch flexible matrix of the smartphone showed that it worked reliably even after freezing the outer surface for four hours at a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the device successfully passed the test of exposure to temperature changes from -32 to +63 degrees three times in a row for two hours.
The screen has also been tested for drop resistance. Thus, 26 experiments were carried out in which the device was dropped from a height of 1.22 meters in various usage scenarios. Additional MIL-STD 810G testing included resistance to vibration, dust, sand, moisture, salt fog, and freezing rain.
As a result of all tests, the screen was awarded a certificate of compliance with military standards, confirming its high reliability and resistance to external factors.
