Russian developers have developed artificial intelligence (AI) that can instantly recognize messages from scammers. The newspaper writes about this “News” Referring to representatives of the Kuban State Technical University.
The material states that the program is written in Python. As Oleg Leinweber, the developer of the neural network, said, the artificial intelligence takes a photo of the working window every 15 seconds and analyzes the text in the image for spam.
Moreover, if the program detects a malicious message, it immediately notifies the device owner. The “pop-up” notification shows not only the unsecured message itself, but also its category, depending on the type of fraud.
The publication’s sources emphasized that the new artificial intelligence is suitable for computers with Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems. It is not supported on other devices yet.
According to journalists, the neural network was trained on the most common examples of fraud. In particular, we are talking about attackers’ attempts to capture bank card data and offers to work in marketplaces.
The algorithm is expected to be useful for ordinary and corporate users. Moreover, the creators of artificial intelligence plan to release special versions for educational and government institutions.
“You can try the beta version of the software in the second quarter of this year, but the full version is expected in 2026,” the publication says.
Commenting on the project, Ideco director Dmitry Khomutov listed the conditions for the suitability of the project. He noted that the popularity of a neural network will largely depend on its reliability and efficiency. In addition, an important factor is the ease of implementation in the work of a particular organization.
At the same time, some experts pointed out that the program should be optimized so that it does not require a lot of computer resources. However, in general, the development is considered promising, as stated in the article.
