Several US officials have publicly criticized people who use Apple Vision Pro while driving. In this respect reports The New York Times (NYT) edition.
One of these officials was US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Commenting on one of the videos of a person using Apple Vision Pro, the minister wrote that all driving assistance systems available today require the driver to always keep the situation on the road under control and be fully involved in the task.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration made a similar statement. The organization described driving using headsets such as the Apple Vision Pro as “reckless and dangerous for all road users.”
Tesla did not comment on the growing trend, but Apple touched on the rules regarding the use of Vision Pro in response to journalists’ questions. They say that the headset cannot be used while driving a moving vehicle, whether it is a car or a bicycle.
