A Chinese video blogger using the pseudonym Love Comparison found that Windows 11 crashes if you set the date on your PC to January 1, 10,000. In this respect reports MyDrivers version.
Windows 11 settings do not allow you to set the specified date via the user interface. The maximum date they provide is December 31, 2099. The command line allows you to exceed this limit, but not beyond the 31 December 8906 limit.
Faced with these limitations, Love Comparison decided to use the BCDedit installer value editor to perform its experiment. It allowed the blogger to set the date in the system to December 31, 9999 and the time to 23:59.
One minute after Windows was installed, the date changed to January 1, 10,000. After that, the operating system began to fail: all settings were reset to factory settings, and programs began to open much longer. Over time, Windows completely stopped executing the blogger’s commands. Even restarting the PC failed to fix the problem.
According to MyDrivers, the only way to revert the date seems to be to completely reinstall Windows.
