The recently announced Honor Magic6 Pro smartphone is equipped with a second-generation silicon-carbon battery. In this respect reports GSMArena broadcast.
In new types of batteries, silicon is used instead of graphite as the negative electrode. Silicon has many important advantages over graphite; The most important of these is density. Silicon anode provides 10 times greater power density than graphite. However, it is significantly larger and has a shorter lifespan. Honor uses silicon-carbon anode to compensate for these shortcomings.
The battery is produced using laser-guided microtunneling technology, which is of great importance for the silicon-based anode. It opens up usable capacity in the low voltage range by increasing the contact area between the electrolyte and the anode. It also helps increase battery capacity. Honor also uses a custom Power Enhanced Chip Honor E1 in the Magic6 Pro to manage battery performance.
The chip constantly adjusts the current depending on the environment and loads. According to Honor, this makes the battery safer and allows it to perform better in harsh weather conditions, especially in cold weather. In particular, according to the manufacturer, the Magic6 Pro can work properly and for a long time at temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius.
Honor Magic6 Pro has been available in China since January 18, 2024. The cost of the device starts from 4399 yuan (about 56 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of February 6, 2024).
Previously Apple Vision Pro headset reached It is on sale in Russia at a price of up to 900 thousand rubles.
