Roskomnadzor once again raised the issue of closing public access to information about the requirements of the Prosecutor General’s Office to block websites. This was reported by “Kommersant”.
The updated draft states that information regarding the reasons for blocking will also be lost from access. Hosters claim that the innovations will make it more difficult to manage access restrictions to sites. Experts concluded that the new rules will affect “public monitoring of blocking” rather than the work of hosting providers and providers.
According to Kommersant, the document contains changes to the operating procedure of the information system, which allows operators to receive information about blocked sites. In particular, the service offers to cancel the clause under which Internet users should be able to see the fact that there are requirements of the Prosecutor General’s Office for the removal of content prohibited in Russia.
Previously, Roskomnadzor had for two years blocked More than 235 thousand Internet resources for SVO-related fakes.
