On the night between January 31 and February 1, Sony held a State of Play video games presentation, where game designer Hideo Kojima showed the first video containing gameplay footage of the new project of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Trailer published on the official PlayStation YouTube channel.
The video is ten minutes long. During this time, many new and old locations, cutscenes, and various battle sections are shown. According to them, Death Stranding 2 will undergo major technical changes since the release of the first episode.
Death Stranding 2 will take place after the events of the original game. In the story, Sam Porter and Fragile will continue to fight the so-called “death escapes” that threaten humanity with complete extinction. Sam Porter will once again be tasked with uniting the surviving human settlements, but events will now cover areas outside of the United Cities of America.
Many Hollywood stars were involved in the development of Death Stranding 2, such as Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, Elle Fanning and others. Guillermo Del Toro, Nicolas Winding Refn and Mads Mikkelsen also starred in the first episode.
The game is planned to be released in 2025. The project will be released exclusively for PlayStation 5.
