Alexander Zhadan, who lives in Moscow, found a girl using the ChatGPT chatbot and proposed to her by choosing her from 5,240 applications. The developer’s fiancee, Karina, told socialbites.ca that she learned about his project after the young man proposed to her. According to her, the groom also uses ChatGPT as an assistant.

“At lunch in November, Sasha said that she used ChatGPT as her assistant. Its functions include responding to messages and setting the calendar. During a trip at the beginning of January, Sasha made me an offer, and a few days later he told me about this project in more detail. I’ve already shared a version that I posted directly on Twitter before it was released. Of course, I was surprised by the scale of ChatGPT usage. After asking Sasha a lot of questions about how things worked, we talked and everything fell into place. Since Sasha and I constantly communicate face to face, in addition to correspondence, I understand perfectly well that no machine has yet replaced it in live communication. I don’t care if Sasha is busy or not, then I let the assistant answer me so that, for example, I can find out his plans for the evening and offer something of my own. The most important thing for me is live communication. “I also understand that not all messages can be answered via chat, and that’s when Sasha comes into play,” he said.

Karina noted that she did not consider herself a victim, but she understood the negative reaction of people on social networks.

“I didn’t expect people to see me as a victim in this situation because I don’t see myself that way. But it’s also understandable because this could have been truly shocking if there hadn’t been additional introductions about what we talked about beforehand. What to be offended by? Everyone has their own opinion. “The important thing is that everything is fine now, we love each other and are planning a wedding,” she explained.

Alexander Zhadan said on page X (Twitter) that he installed the ChatGPT chatbot to search for dates and communicate with girls. Over the course of a year, the neural network met 5,240 girls, and one of them was proposed to by a man. Zhadan started his experiment in 2022. It used Tinder and the GPT-3 language model. The neural network was given the task of meeting a girl and asking her out, but not right away. However, this version was not very effective. Then Zhadan redesigned the service around GPT-4, and within a month the neural network reached 4943 “matches” and generated nearly a hundred dates. As a result of the experiment, Zhadan found his girlfriend Karina, to whom he proposed in January 2024.
