US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agents collecting information about Russia are prohibited from using Telegram on their work computers. About this in material on open data intelligence (OSINT) tools in US intelligence agencies reports Bloomberg publication.

Additionally, according to Bloomberg, analysts are asked to leave the department building when they try to log into Telegram from personal devices. They most likely have no connection to the corporate network. Basically, CIA agents monitoring the Russian information space are reading Russian-speaking war correspondents.

According to Bloomberg, OSINT capabilities have become a new priority for American intelligence agencies. Now the CIA is working on techniques that will allow agents to effectively filter information and isolate useful data from large amounts of data.

“Our greatest weakness in OSINT is the scale at which we gather information. They are huge,” said CIA OSINT Director Randy Nixon.

One of the CIA’s main know-how in this area is generative AI such as ChatGPT, which filters large amounts of information. It directs analysts to the most relevant topics and automatically summarizes them.

Previously in Russia was recorded a new type of super-volume DDoS attack.
