Ahead of the launch of the Vision Pro mixed reality headset on February 2, 2024, Apple has officially launched an app section for the headset in the App Store. Referring to the developers on this issue, reports MacRumor’s publication.

In the App Store for VisionOS (this is the name of the operating system of Vision Pro – editor’s note) there will be both programs developed specifically for the headset and iOS applications that can run in 2D mode on the new device.

MacRumors notes that all iOS apps must be compatible with VisionOS’ 2D mode. At the same time, according to the publication, developers themselves can refuse to place their programs in Vision Pro’s App Store section.

Pre-orders for Vision Pro in the US will open on January 19. The cost of the device will be 3.5 thousand dollars (about 308 thousand rubles). According to the latest rumors, the new product will start to be sold in other countries in the first half of this year.

Previously Apple criticized for boring desks for Vision Pro in stores.
