Ukrainian National Police arrested a hacker who made more than $2 million in cryptocurrency using a complex scheme, the European Police Agency (Europol) said. This was reported by TASS.
The press release states that a 29-year-old criminal was detained in Nikolaev on January 9. It secretly distributed malware to the devices of other users who were secretly mining cryptocurrency.
The hacker was caught as part of a months-long collaboration between Europol, Ukrainian authorities and the cloud data storage service.
