In an interview with Reedus on this subject warned Sergey Lipov, information technology specialist at EdgeCenter. He reminded that the above devices can not only set music or alarm clock, but also transfer money using voice commands.
“Scammers may use special hardware or software to eavesdrop on these commands. Once the scammer learns what commands you typically use, they can impersonate your voice or use other methods to trick your voice assistant into performing fraudulent actions,” the expert explained.
He added that voice assistants have significant protection against fraudsters, but no system is 100% impenetrable. The expert emphasized that you should always be careful when using smart speakers.
Eldar Murtazin, formerly leading expert at Mobile Research Group warned about the dangers of using public Wi-Fi. According to him, attackers can interfere with user data.
