In 63% of cases, the Russian neural network YandexGPT 2 answers questions in Russian better than the GPT 3.5 language model from the American company OpenAI. socialbites.ca was informed about this by the press service of the Yandex company.
Testing was performed using the Side by Side comparison method. That is, both neural networks answered the same question, and the so-called AI trainers chose the best answer. At the same time, experts did not know which service provided this or that answer.
The question pool was created from anonymous requests made by users of Yandex products to the YandexGPT 2 neural network, and a sample covering many different topics was created, taking into account people’s real needs.
Yandex Search Technical Director Alexey Gusakov stated that neural networks benchmarks are needed not to obtain abstract numbers in a benchmark, but to solve product problems and create new functions.
