Kyivstar does not know the exact timing of the full restoration of the infrastructure following the attack by Russian hackers. In this respect reports TASS cited the words of the head of the Ukrainian mobile operator Alexander Komarov.
“This is the toughest question today because I don’t want to speculate on it. “We have several scenarios,” Komarov said.
According to him, Kyivstar will first re-establish fixed internet. Next up is cellular communications. But with mobile services, the problem is “a little bit more difficult,” he said.
“I really hope that tomorrow we will start resuming the service, but I cannot guarantee that,” Komarov added.
Referring to the Korrespondent publication, TASS writes that the damage caused by hackers to the cellular infrastructure is more serious than previously thought. According to media reports, it may take a week for Kyivstar to restart work on this segment.
