Interest in neural networks has increased sharply in Russia: during the year, mobile traffic of services powered by artificial intelligence tripled, and their audience increased by 3.5 times. socialbites.ca was informed about this by the press service of the mobile operator Yota.
Analysts examined the services available in Russia that allow you to create illustrations, text or music using neural networks. The most popular project was the “Masterpiece” project, which was launched in April 2023. In the six months since its launch, this neural network has consumed twice as many gigabytes as the second most popular AI service, Kandinsky, which also allows you to create visual content. It ranked second with a 2.5-fold increase in internet traffic consumption since January this year.
The three most popular neural networks in terms of user activity are the Mubert project, which generates music at the user’s request. Since the beginning of the year, mobile Internet consumption in this neural network has decreased by 63%. There were two other audio track generators based on neural networks in the top five: Aiva and Soundraw.
Compared to the January-October period last year, traffic to artificial intelligence services increased 3.5 times this year. The main users of neural networks are people aged 36-45 (they make up 32% of the audience) and people aged 26-35 (31% of the audience). In third place are subscribers aged 46-55 (18% of viewers).
Neural networks are most actively gaining popularity among zoomers (ages 14 to 21). In 2023, the number of such users increased 11 times. On average, they spend the most traffic per subscriber on AI services. Men use neural networks more often than women; They make up 59% of the target audience of such services. On average, Russians work with AI websites for almost an hour (59 minutes) per month.
