A resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) Moscow Technopolis has developed and launched the production of motherboards supporting Russian processors, said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the capital’s Department of Investment and Industrial Policy (DIPP). The portal reports this Moscow government.
“The resident of Technopolis Moscow SEZ produces more than 45 different types of devices per month with a volume of up to four thousand units. The company develops its own products. So, within 18 months, the company’s engineers created a universal motherboard that can be used in displays, touch panels, desktop all-in-ones and televisions,” said Ovchinsky.
The company plans to produce approximately 30 thousand copies of the new product next year for its own use only. Production has now started in Zelenograd.
More motherboards are planned to be produced at the Pechatniki facility in 2024. This is approximately 30 thousand units per year. Vladimir Krikushenko, general director of the established company, announced a pre-order for 20 thousand devices; Several more orders for up to 50 thousand units per year are in the approval phase.
This fall, the Ministry of Industry and Trade shared plans to start processor production in the Russian Federation. Mass production of microprocessors using 28 nanometer topology to be mastered Russian enterprises until 2027.
Russia also plans to start producing computers with Chinese processors. Russian company “Norsi-Trans” announced Production of servers, data storage systems (DSS), computers and laptops based on Loongson processors.
