Beeper Mini app, which allows Android smartphones to send messages to iMessage on iPhone and iPad, has stopped working. In this respect reports The Verge cites the program’s developer.

On Friday, December 8, less than a week after its launch, the Beeper Mini began experiencing technical problems. Users suddenly lost the ability to send and receive messages. Many people on The Verge were unable to activate their Android phone numbers using the Beeper Mini; They write that this is a clear sign that Apple has closed all the holes that allowed the app to work.

Beeper Mini was the result of an attempt to reverse engineer Apple’s messaging protocol, initiated by a 16-year-old American student. The app uses the work of a high school student and lets you send messages from Android to iMessage for $2 a month.

Beeper CEO Eric Migicovski confirmed that the service was blocked. In his opinion, this is an unreasonable decision, because now users of Android and iOS devices will have to communicate via unsecured SMS instead of encrypted messages in iMessage.

Previously refurbished smartphones to create Unprecedented popularity in Russia.
