Before the end of this year, Tesla will release a firmware update for its electric vehicles; The main feature of this update will be the function of automatically calling 911 to the rescue service in case of an accident. In this respect reports The Verge’s edition.
The update is expected to be released next week. As well as automatically calling emergency services, it will also bring a host of other features such as Apple Podcast support, Bluetooth headset support for rear row multimedia displays and more.
Apple Podcast is the second Apple service powered by Tesla. The company previously integrated Apple Music into the car’s multimedia platform.
Tesla announced the additional features after someone complained to X (formerly Twitter) that leaks suggested the update would be “bullshit,” according to The Verge. Past Christmas updates brought with them more features. For example, integration with Steam was added in 2023, and a year ago TikTok and the Sonic the Hedgehog game appeared on Tesla OS.
Previously Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck compared with a Lamborghini Urus in a straight line race.
