According to an insider, a new Apple patent has been spotted showing a modified iPhone flash surrounding the entire camera unit. This solution can be useful for night and portrait photography, as its shape resembles a miniature ring lamp.
“My guess is that the iPhone 16 Pro Max could feature a revolutionary flash design for improved night photography,” Ice Universe wrote.
A similar flash design is also used in the Nothing Phone 1 and 2 smartphones. These devices feature the Glyph backlight system, which can be used as an indicator of notifications, backlight during shooting and other actions.
