The innovation was discovered in the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS, number 23.25.10.72, which is available for download on TestFlight. When this feature is enabled, audio played on the user’s device will be transmitted to other users during the call. It is stated that the new feature is not compatible with voice or video calls without broadcasting your own screen.
According to WABetaInfo, the new feature will allow users to watch movies, video presentations, and listen to music together, while also making group video calls more interactive.
This feature is currently only available to select iPhone testers. Such functions have not yet been added to beta versions of Android. It is unknown when WhatsApp will offer this feature to users with stable versions of the messenger.
