By the end of this year, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation will ban its employees from using Apple smartphones and tablets for official purposes. In this respect reports RIA Novosti quotes a source.
According to the agency, the relevant order was given by the head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina. It will enter into force on December 25, 2023.
“The Central Bank of Russia will not buy smartphones and tablets from this company either,” a source told RIA Novosti.
At the time the news was published, the Central Bank had not commented on this information.
The agency reported that the number of Bank of Russia employees by the end of 2022 exceeded 40 thousand people.
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation is not the only institution that has decided to abandon the use of iPhones and iPads in service for information security reasons.
