Lesta Games, the video game development studio in Russia that owns the copyright to World of Tanks, announced the development of a new big-budget online game based on Unreal Engine 5. reports Forbes’ publication.

The development of the new project is carried out in the Moscow office of Lesta Games. The budget of the game is estimated at 25-30 million dollars, which corresponds to approximately 2.2 – 2.7 billion rubles. Based on the exchange rate of November 29, 2023.

There is very little information about the new game. Boris Sinitsky, operations director of the World of Tanks game, said that the project is not about the tank theme and will be multiplayer. It is also known that this game will be the first Lesta Games product on Unreal Engine 5.

Information about the game’s possible release dates has not been disclosed.

Lesta Games produces and supports online games such as World of Tanks, World of Ships and Tanks Blitz on PCs and smartphones. The company has been independently developing listed projects in Russia and Belarus since the end of last year. Lesta Games acquired the rights to these games after the division of Wargaming company’s business. The latter continued to develop the same games under the original names (World of Tanks, World of Tanks Blitz and World of Warships) outside Russia and Belarus.
