RuStore Chief Product Manager Alexander Rusnak explained how to properly charge a smartphone to preserve its battery. The agency reports that RIA News.
According to the expert, one of the most common mistakes is charging the device incorrectly. It recommends avoiding discharging the battery to zero and recharging it when it drops to 10-20%. Rusnak also recommends charging the phone to 80-90%, not 100%.
The expert noted that using non-original chargers may shorten battery life and even cause a short circuit. He emphasized that only certified and thoroughly tested chargers should be used.
Rusnak also dispelled myths about smartphone charging. He noted that turning off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS does not greatly affect the life of the smartphone if these functions are not actively used or are used in the background. He added that fast chargers do not harm the battery because modern models have special controllers that control the charging speed of the battery depending on usage and time of day.
“If your phone battery starts to drain heavily, you need to check if there are any apps running in the background. You can also reduce the screen brightness or choose a special mode from the display settings, says Expert.
