Xiaomi announced the end of support for four popular smartphone models released in 2020. The portal reports this Ledger Control.

The devices on the list include the budget Poco X3 and Poco X3 NFC, as well as the sub-flagship Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro. These devices will no longer receive Android operating system updates and security patches that protect them from potential threats.

This decision is in line with Xiaomi’s policy of providing three years of support for its smartphones. However, some of the brand’s devices may be supported for longer, and owners of these devices can expect four years of Android updates and up to five years of security patch support.

Users who continue to use Xiaomi smartphones that have lost support may be putting themselves at risk of becoming victims of hacking, data theft or other attacks. In this case, users are advised to pay attention to existing devices or install custom firmware, but this method has a number of disadvantages.
