Gennady Zalutsky, manager of the digital transformation department at Skillbox, said that the number of neural network users is growing steadily and the scope of application of artificial intelligence (AI) continues to expand.
He also noted that according to Skillbox research, more than a quarter of students on the platform use neural networks every day or at least once a week. According to him, at the beginning of this year, 35 percent of companies use them in their business, and 78 percent of managers believe that the development of technology only stimulates the creation of new jobs.
“Such rapid development of technology also raises ethical issues regarding the development and use of artificial intelligence in professional activities and daily life. AI ethics examines a variety of topics, including whether AI can be treated as a living entity, whether AI has rights, who should own the rights to works created by AI, and more. “There are already judicial precedents,” he said.
Gennady Zalutsky believes that failure to comply with AI ethics can lead to long-term consequences.
“Failure to comply with the ethics of artificial intelligence can significantly affect the functioning of the entire organization and the professional activities of individuals. For example, the use of artificial intelligence is the basis for the development of smart cities and unmanned vehicles, but in the event of an accident, what decision intelligence should make and who should be helped remains an urgent question. And there are many examples like this today,” he explains.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Daria Kiryanova said at the All-Russian Technological Entrepreneurship Forum that artificial intelligence in the Russian Federation should not be banned, but introduced into the legal sphere.
“I think the last thing you should do is ban something. The question is how we can use our legal framework to develop some technologies.
Artificial intelligence is an end-to-end technology that is the priority of technological development, that is why the consortium was created [по ИИ] “It is under the leadership of Sberbank, which includes the Ministry of Education and Science,” Kiryanova said.
