Lenovo recalls devices due to dangerous defect

Lenovo announced that it will recall Lenovo Go USB Type-C portable power banks manufactured between January and June 2022. In this respect says On the company’s website.

The reason for the recall is a technological defect that could lead to short circuit, overheating and burning of the lithium-ion battery. According to Lenovo representatives, the defect affects approximately 3,000 batteries numbered 40ALLG2WWW and PBLG2W sold in the United States, Canada and other parts of the world.

Users are advised to check the battery production date on the back of the device. Powerbanks dated 01/22, 02/22, 03/22, 04/22, 05/22 and 06/22 may be dangerous.

The company informed customers to immediately stop using faulty batteries and contact its support team for a free device replacement.

Lenovo also warned users not to recycle defective batteries as they could pose a danger to the environment and people. The company promised to ensure that the recalled batteries are recycled safely.
