Photos of the earliest Apple Watch prototype, assembled in 2013, have surfaced online. The portal reports this 9to5Mac.
It is stated that photos of the device were provided by collector Giulio Zompetti. The prototype is based on iOS 8 and runs on a special test version of the SwitchBoard operating system developed for the iPod touch. Three horizontal heart rate sensors can be seen on the stainless steel back of the device.
Zompetti also said that the prototype has a unique wireless charger that is not compatible with other Apple Watch models. It looks similar to the standard charger that comes with Apple watches.
This isn’t the first time Zompetti has shown off rare prototypes of Apple products. It had previously shown prototypes of the iPhone X, iPhone 12 Pro, iPod and another version of the Apple Watch.
