Online game development school XYZ School, which is part of the Ultimate Education educational company, conducted a survey among Russian gamers and found out what gifts they would like to receive for the New Year. Survey results are available on socialbites.ca.
Gamers’ preferences vary depending on the price range of the gifts. So in the price category up to 3 thousand rubles. What players want most is; computer accessories such as pads, cables, adapters, external drives and laptop bags. In second place in this category were gifts related to professional development, for example, professional literature, tickets to master classes, subscriptions to software and services. Clothing and commercial products came in third place, beauty and health products came in fourth place, and fiction, comics and manga took fifth place.
In the average price category from 3 to 10 thousand rubles. gamers preferred PC peripherals such as keyboards, gamepads, gaming mice and others. In second place in this category are PC components: RAM, motherboards and coolers. In third place were video games for different platforms, in fourth place were wardrobe items such as hoodies, shoes or outerwear, and in fifth place were certificates for various services.
Gifts in the higher price category, starting from 10 thousand rubles. Gamers have expressed their desire to buy a gaming PC or laptop. Second place in this category was occupied by various household or personal equipment such as iPhones, Dyson hair dryers and tablets. In third place were expensive PC components such as video cards or processors. Travel or short group tours ranked fourth. Last on the list of desirable gifts are art or collectible-related items like rare comic books, figurines, and more.
