Astro for Business is a robot that moves on large wheels with a tablet and cameras. It has some features of the Wall-E robot from Pixar’s cartoon of the same name.
Amazon’s new product moves autonomously or using a remote control. It also has a periscopic HD camera with night vision and offers 24/7 access to the real-time viewfinder.
Amazon recommends using Astro for Business to patrol office or warehouse facilities as well as their attached areas. When the robot detects suspicious sounds or other activity, as well as strangers, it alerts human guards.
Astro for Business can currently be purchased for $ 2,350 (about 210 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of November 16, 2023).
