Microsoft will continue to reduce the number of apps built into Windows 11. According to the Windows Latest portal, in the beta version of the operating system for developers, the ability to remove Photos and Camera programs was discovered.
The removal of these apps was made available to developers on Windows 11 with build number 23585. Microsoft had previously removed the Movies & TV and Maps apps from Windows 11, and Tips, WordPad, and Cortana are expected to be removed in future versions. The exact timing of the emergence of these functions has not yet been revealed.
According to experts, Microsoft wants to speed up the system by allowing Windows users to uninstall applications they do not use.
Microsoft officially stopped supporting the Cortana voice assistant in Windows 10 and 11 in the summer of 2023. The app appeared on the operating system in 2015 but never became popular among users.
This year the company also announced the appearance of a built-in assistant in Windows 11 based on GPT-4 artificial intelligence called Copilot.
